Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has gone viral online after a video showed him casually coaching young players on catching techniques ahead of a Pakistan Super League (PSL) match.
In the widely shared clip, Maxwell can be seen working closely with youngsters, demonstrating how to take boundary catches and guiding them through the finer details of fielding technique in a hands-on session.
Social media quickly picked up the moment, with users praising his gesture. “What an absolute gem of a personality,” one user wrote while sharing the video, while another called him “a true role model,” as admiration poured in for the Australian star.
Maxwell recently joined Hyderabad Kingsmen during the second half of PSL 11 after the side had a rough start, losing their first four matches. Since his arrival, the team has picked up momentum, winning both of their games.
The all-rounder contributed across both fixtures, scoring 50 runs and picking up a wicket combined, adding experience and firepower to the squad.
One of Australia’s most explosive T20 batters, Maxwell has featured in 130 T20 internationals, scoring 2,897 runs at a strike rate of 158.42, including five centuries and 12 fifties. Across his overall T20 career, he has amassed 10,986 runs and taken 196 wickets in 502 matches.
He also retired from One Day Internationals in June 2025 after 149 appearances, finishing his ODI career with two World Cup titles.
