Businessman found dead in car near Zamzama Park in Clifton
A 32-year-old businessman was found dead with a gunshot wound inside a car near Zamzama Park in Clifton, police said. Investigators recovered a 9mm pistol from the vehicle and said further inquiry was under way.

KARACHI: A 32-year-old businessman was found dead inside a car near Zamzama Park in Clifton on Wednesday, according to police.
Clifton police station SHO Naseer Tanoli identified the deceased as Hamza, a resident of a bungalow in Phase V, DHA, located near the park. Police said he had left his house and was sitting in his black car parked outside when he allegedly shot himself.
After receiving information about the incident, police arrived at the scene, sealed off the area and summoned the crime scene unit. Officials collected forensic evidence from the spot as part of the investigation.
A 9mm pistol was recovered from the vehicle and taken into custody. Police said the weapon is believed to be licensed.
The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities. Police said the deceased was married and reportedly operated his own business.
Investigation under way
Police said the motive behind the suspected suicide could not be determined immediately. Investigators were continuing their inquiry and were also recording statements from family members.
After legal formalities were completed, the body was handed over to the heirs.
The case remains under investigation, with police examining the circumstances surrounding the death and the evidence collected from the vehicle and the scene near the park.
