Under the announced plan, matric annual examinations will begin on March 4, 2026. Admission forms for the matric exams can be submitted with a single fee from Nov 10 to Dec 12, 2025. Forms can be filed with a double fee from Dec 13 to Dec 22, 2025, while the triple-fee submission window will remain open from Dec 23 to Dec 30, 2025.
The matric results are scheduled to be announced on July 24, 2026.
Intermediate examination schedule
For intermediate students, the annual examinations will start on April 29, 2026. Candidates will be able to submit admission forms with a single fee from Dec 1 to Dec 30, 2025. The double-fee period will run from Dec 31, 2025, to Jan 9, 2026, and forms with a triple fee may be submitted from Jan 10 to Jan 16, 2026.
The intermediate results will be declared on Sept 12, 2026, according to the announced timetable.
Fee timelines finalised
The schedule finalises the fee structure in terms of submission periods tied to single, double and triple fees for both sets of examinations. The announcement provides students and institutions with the dates for completing registration and preparing for the annual examination cycle.
The reported timetable includes separate deadlines for matric and intermediate candidates and also specifies the expected dates for the declaration of results later in 2026.
The announcement comes as boards move to complete arrangements for the next academic examination cycle, with the dates now formally laid out for students planning to appear in the annual exams.
