Ali sisters move into quarter-finals at junior squash event in Kuala Lumpur
Pakistan’s Mahnoor, Sehrish and Mehwish Ali reached the quarter-finals of the SRAFTKL International Junior Open Squash Championship in Kuala Lumpur after straight-games wins on Thursday.

Kuala Lumpur: Pakistan’s junior squash players Mahnoor Ali, Sehrish Ali and Mehwish Ali advanced to the quarter-finals of the SRAFTKL International Junior Open Squash Championship after winning their matches in straight games on Thursday.
The three sisters delivered commanding performances in Kuala Lumpur, keeping Pakistan in contention in the tournament and reinforcing their growing profile on the international junior circuit.
Mahnoor Ali booked her place in the last eight in the third round of the Asian Junior Super Series with a 3-0 victory over China’s Du Shaoyi. The match was closely fought, but Mahnoor prevailed at key moments to take the contest 11-9, 11-7 and 11-9.
In the Under-15 category, Sehrish Ali also progressed with a straight-games win against Malaysia’s Kugan Karesha. After narrowly taking the opening game 14-12, she controlled the rest of the match and won the next two games 11-4 and 11-6.
Mehwish Ali maintained the family’s winning run with a 3-0 result against Singapore’s Wong Anne. She moved through to the quarter-finals with game scores of 11-8, 11-4 and 11-6.
All three players advanced without dropping a game in their respective matches, underlining their consistency and preparation as the event moved deeper into the knockout phase.
