Hyderabad Kingsmen post 225-5, hand Multan Sultans 226-run chase

Hyderabad Kingsmen piled up 225-5 against Multan Sultans in the eighth match of PSL 11 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on Wednesday, with Maaz Sadaqat and Sharjeel Khan leading the batting charge with half-centuries.
After opting to bat first, Kingsmen made an aggressive start and built momentum early through openers Saim Ayub and Maaz Sadaqat. The pair added 59 runs in five overs before Peter Siddle dismissed Saim, who made 27 off 20 balls with three fours and one six.
Maaz continued the assault and stitched together short partnerships with Marnus Labuschagne and Usman Khan to keep the innings moving. He was eventually dismissed by Mohammad Nawaz in the 10th over after scoring 62 off 26 balls, hitting five fours and five sixes.
Kingsmen then lost another wicket soon after when Usman Khan was caught at deep fine leg off Mohammad Wasim Jr, leaving the side at 127-4 in 11.2 overs.
Sharjeel Khan then took control of the innings and remained unbeaten on 51 off 26 balls, striking three fours and four sixes. He added valuable runs late in the innings with Syed Saad Ali, who scored 23, and Muhammad Irfan Khan, who finished unbeaten on 22.
Kingsmen closed their 20 overs on 225-5, setting Multan Sultans a target of 226.
For Multan, Mohammad Wasim Jr was the most successful bowler with 2-37 in four overs. Mohammad Nawaz, Peter Siddle and Ashton Turner picked up one wicket each.
