A man has shared a series of dramatic and sometimes hilarious clips from Saudi Arabia, catching individuals of pretending to be beggars while allegedly making large sums of money abroad. In his videos, he calls these people “international bhikari” and even urges Minister of Interior and Narcotics ControlMohsin Naqvi to take notice and intervene.
In one clip, the man can be seen confronting a man, following him down the street while highlighting that these individuals make at least 1000 riyals a day. “Aap nay Naqvi saab mashallah bohot achay achay kaam kiye hain, thora sa in international bhikariyon pay bhi nazar daalain. Kon kehta hai k ye ghareeb log hain?” he says as he records the culprit.
The man tries to hide his face and escape. “Ye dekhain! Pakistan ka naam roshan kiya hua hai iss nay,” the man says while follwoing him constantly, repeatedly calling out the fleeing individual.
In another video, he catches a so-called beggar red-handed while standing in line for charity, further illustrating his point that not all beggars abroad are as destitute as they claim. As he films and the so-called beggar realises, it prompts a full on chase. At one point, he tries to grab the man’s arm and asks over and over: “Aap ko kya hua, abhi tou aap bimar thay?” all the while running after him. The persistence and chaos of the pursuit make the clip comedic.
The man also points out a broader pattern: some individuals allegedly beg in Arab countries and return to Pakistan claiming they have successful businesses or connections with wealthy sheikhs, often buying expensive cars and gold.
The videos also touch on a more serious underlying issue — the perception that some people exploit the visa and labor system in Saudi Arabia to earn money under false pretenses, creating problems for others. These claims highlight long-standing tensions surrounding overseas labor, remittances, and the reputation of Pakistani workers abroad.
While the clips are not yet viral, they have begun circulating on social media, and viewers have been divided between amusement at the chaotic chases and concern over the broader implications.
