ADB unveils five-year strategy to drive sustainable, inclusive growth in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has unveiled a new five-year country partnership strategy for Pakistan, outlining a comprehensive framework aimed at fostering sustainable and inclusive economic growth in the country.

Focus on private sector-led development

The newly announced strategy places significant emphasis on private sector-led development as a key driver of economic progress. The framework envisions leveraging private enterprise and investment to stimulate growth across multiple sectors of the Pakistani economy, marking a shift towards greater reliance on market-driven approaches to development.

Climate resilience and social inclusion

In addition to its focus on private sector engagement, the ADB's new strategy identifies climate resilience as a central pillar of its partnership with Pakistan.
