Airlines instructed to minimize fuel uptake in Pakistan amid supply concerns
The Pakistan Airports Authority has directed airlines to minimize fuel loading at Pakistani airports due to Jet Fuel A-1 supply chain disruptions, advising maximum refueling at foreign airports until March 31.

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has directed all airlines operating from the country to limit their fuel intake at Pakistani airports due to ongoing supply chain disruptions affecting Jet Fuel A-1 availability.
According to an official directive issued on Saturday, airlines have been advised to maximize refueling at foreign airports and to take on only the minimum required fuel necessary for their operations when departing from Pakistan. The PAA stated that this measure is being implemented in response to challenges in the supply of Jet Fuel A-1, which have been attributed to the current regional situation.
The authority clarified that the directive will remain in effect until March 31. The PAA emphasized the importance of cooperation from all airlines during this period to ensure continued flight operations and safety standards.
The statement did not elaborate on the specific causes of the supply chain issues, but noted that the situation is being closely monitored. Airlines have been requested to plan their fuel requirements accordingly and to coordinate with relevant airport authorities for further guidance.
This temporary measure is intended to mitigate the impact of fuel shortages at Pakistani airports and to maintain operational continuity for both domestic and international flights.
