Two Indian Air Force pilots killed in fighter jet crash in Assam

Two Indian Air Force (IAF) pilots lost their lives after a Sukhoi Su-30MKI fighter jet crashed during a training mission in Assam, familiar with the matter. The incident occurred after the aircraft took off from the Jorhat airbase and subsequently went missing.

The fighter jet was engaged in a routine training exercise when it lost contact with ground control. The aircraft was later confirmed to have crashed, resulting in the deaths of both crew members on board.

The pilots have been identified as Squadron Leader Anuj and Flight Lieutenant Duragkar, sources said. Their remains were recovered following search and rescue operations in the area.
