Pakistan women's cricket team secured a commanding 119-run victory against South Africa in the third and final One-day International held at Kingsmead Cricket Ground, Durban, on Sunday. The win provided a consolation for the visitors at the end of the series.

Sadaf Shamas Shines with the Bat

Sadaf Shamas played a pivotal role in Pakistan's strong batting performance, scoring 97 runs off 71 balls. Her innings included 16 boundaries and a six. After the early dismissal of opening batter Gul Feroza, Sadaf partnered with Sidra Amin, who contributed 41 runs, to build a 130-run stand for the second wicket.

Following the departure of Sadaf and Sidra, Pakistan found themselves at 164-3. The team then lost two quick wickets, putting pressure on the middle order. However, a crucial partnership between captain Fatima Sana and Najiha Alvi steadied the innings.

Fatima Sana's All-Round Performance

Fatima Sana delivered an all-round performance, scoring an unbeaten 60 runs off 41 balls, which included three fours and five sixes. She and Najiha Alvi added 65 runs for the sixth wicket before Najiha was dismissed in the 48th over. Fatima reached her fifth ODI half-century and remained not out as Pakistan posted a total of 306 runs.

For South Africa, Sune Luus was the most successful bowler, taking 3 wickets for 42 runs.

Pakistan Bowlers Seal Victory

In response, South Africa were bowled out for 187 runs. Sadia Iqbal led the bowling attack with figures of 3-41, while Fatima Sana contributed with 2-29. The combined bowling effort ensured a comprehensive win for Pakistan.

The result marked a strong finish for Pakistan in the series, with standout performances from both bat and ball.
