Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck Get Back Together for Special Family Milestone

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck reunited over the weekend to celebrate their son Samuel’s 14th birthday, stepping out together in California shortly after Garner reflected publicly on the realities of co-parenting.

The former couple was photographed arriving at Combat Paintball Park in Castaic, where they marked the occasion alongside Samuel and a few of his friends. Dressed casually and carrying paintball gear, the two appeared focused on the day’s activities, at times walking together and at other moments moving separately around the venue.

Garner and Affleck, both 53, were married in 2005 before separating in 2015 and finalizing their divorce the following year. In addition to Samuel, they share daughter Violet, 20, and Seraphina, 17.

Their joint appearance comes weeks after Garner discussed raising children across two households. Speaking on the “One Nightstand” podcast, the actress explained that co-parenting often requires each parent to balance roles typically shared under one roof.

“When your kids grow up in two separate households, I become mom and dad, and he becomes dad and mom,” she said, adding that while there can be a sense of loss, there is also growth in learning to adapt.

Despite their split, Garner and Affleck have maintained a reputation for amicable co-parenting, frequently coming together for holidays, birthdays and family outings. In recent years, they’ve been seen attending sporting events, celebrating Easter and spending time with their children in low-key public settings.

Affleck was most recently married to Jennifer Lopez from 2022 to 2025. Garner, meanwhile, has been in a long-term relationship with businessman John Miller since 2018.

While their romantic chapter ended years ago, Garner and Affleck continue to present a united front when it comes to family — proving that their focus remains firmly on their children.
