ISLAMABAD: Awami Muslim League (AML) chief and former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad on Saturday filed an application in an anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi, seeking permission to travel to Saudi Arabia for performing Umrah.

It was stated in the application that the AML chief regularly appeared in the court in connection with the hearings of his cases and that he never misused the bail granted to him.

The seasoned politician said, “Flour is being sold at the rate of Rs159 per kilogram.” Sheikh Rasheed said that he wanted to appeal to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to fix appeals filed by the common man at the earliest for hearing.

He said that his nephew was also awarded 40 years imprisonment, even though he did not even visit Faisalabad.
