Nicki Minaj calls herself ‘Trump’s No.1 fan’

Nicki Minaj has publicly reaffirmed her support for Donald Trump, calling herself his “No. 1 fan” while speaking at the Trump Accounts Summit in Washington, D.C., on January 28.

During her remarks, Minaj praised the administration’s newly launched investment programme for US-born children and said criticism over her political stance has only strengthened her resolve. She described what she sees as public “bullying” directed at Trump and said he has remained resilient despite sustained backlash.

Minaj announced plans to personally contribute between $150,000 and $300,000 to the Trump Accounts initiative. The programme, introduced under Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act, provides a one-time government contribution of $1,000 into investment accounts for children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028. Families can add up to $5,000 annually, with funds invested in a broad stock market index.

She has previously promoted the initiative on social media, describing it as a way to encourage early financial literacy and long-term planning while helping future generations build economic independence.

The programme has drawn major backing from Trump-aligned donors, including Michael and Susan Dell, who pledged more than $6 billion in December 2025. Trump has described the initiative as a transformative effort to expand financial opportunity for American families.

Minaj’s appearance marked her latest involvement in Trump-affiliated events, following recent participation in conservative gatherings and policy-focused forums.
