A bizarre incident from Mathura in Uttar Pradesh has gone viral after a man arrived at a hospital carrying the very snake he claimed had bitten him.
The episode involved a 39-year-old e-rickshaw driver, identified as Deepak, who reportedly went to the district hospital seeking an anti-venom injection. A video of the incident, later shared widely on social media, shows the man calmly carrying a snake in his pocket as he interacted with hospital staff.
According to officials, while doctors were questioning him about the snakebite, the man suddenly pulled out a 1.5-foot-long snake from his jacket pocket before putting it back inside. The unexpected move shocked those present at the hospital.
Chief Medical Superintendent Neeraj Agrawal said the patient was immediately asked to take the reptile outside, as it posed a danger to other patients and staff. Police were subsequently called to the hospital and safely rescued the snake.
Hospital authorities also expressed suspicion that the snake may have belonged to the man himself, adding another layer of mystery to the unusual incident.
