Private schools shut down for operating during winter break

LAHORE: The District Education Authority (DEA) Lahore has sealed multiple private schools for resuming operations during the winter holidays, sending a strong warning that violators will face severe consequences.

Officials confirmed that Oxford Grammar School in Shahdara and Tehzeeb-ul-Islam School on Bedian Road were both sealed for reopening during the vacation period. Umm-ul-Huda School in Sabzazar was also shut down for the same offense. The DEA issued stern warnings to the school administrations, urging them to comply with the holiday schedule.

The education authority emphasized that its crackdown on private schools that break the holiday rules is ongoing. Any school found to be operating during the break will be sealed immediately, officials warned.

The DEA also clarified that all schools will officially reopen on January 12, as per the official notification.
