LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi has been transferred back to Kot Lakhpat Jail after being discharged from the hospital, where he was receiving treatment for a liver surgery.
Qureshi’s lawyer Rana Madassar confirmed the development, stating that the PTI leader had undergone treatment at the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI) for a liver condition and was now in stable health.
Following his recovery, he was discharged from the hospital and returned to the jail.
Madassar further revealed that the medical tests had been conducted on Qureshi, and the reports would be available in the next 15 days. He assured that Qureshi’s condition had improved, allowing his transfer back to prison.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi has been incarcerated in Kot Lakhpat Jail in relation to cases stemming from the violent incidents of May 9, when the PTI supporters clashed with security forces across the country.
