LAHORE: Pakistan’s renowned MMA promoter and security expert Omar Ahmed has been elected to the IMMAF Police Sports Commission and nominated for the IMMAF Sustainability Awards, marking a historic leap for Pakistan in the governance of global mixed martial arts.
Following his election as Director for South Asia, Omar now represents Pakistan on a global platform that links the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) with law enforcement and policing bodies worldwide. The Commission’s mission is to incorporate MMA and combat-sport training into police education, enhancing officers’ physical fitness, discipline, and composure under pressure while promoting international competitions and professional exchanges among police forces from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Omar’s appointment gives Pakistan a direct presence in international MMA decision-making, placing the country within the same dialogue as global policing and security institutions. It also offers Pakistani athletes, trainers, and coaches unprecedented exposure and collaboration opportunities on the world stage.
Educated in London, Omar Ahmed holds dual master’s degrees in strategic communication and security & risk management. He built an impressive career spanning security, sports, and entrepreneurship, founding Train2Secure, which became a major security contractor for the London Olympics, before returning to Pakistan to lead Parwest Security, one of the country’s largest private security enterprises managing high-risk national operations.
Through his initiative, the Real Fight Project, Omar has introduced an innovative model that uses combat sports to foster mental health, leadership, and resilience among youth. This groundbreaking program earned him a nomination at the IMMAF Sustainability Awards in Georgia, recognizing his efforts to use MMA as a platform for social transformation and youth empowerment.
The PAKMMAF president’s professional journey reflects both international excellence and patriotic commitment. He has designed and delivered unarmed combat training to Pakistan’s Special Forces (SSG) and the National Police Academy, integrating MMA-based techniques into their official training curricula to build physical and psychological resilience.
In addition to his institutional contributions, Omar has personally financed and sponsored Pakistani MMA fighters to compete in Asian and world championships. When logistical barriers or visa challenges arose, he intervened directly, securing permissions, negotiating with federations, and ensuring Pakistan’s representation on the global stage.
Under his leadership, Pakistan achieved a breakthrough at the IMMAF World Championships in Georgia, where the national team won two medals despite the country being under travel restrictions. His determination and international network have enabled Pakistani fighters to compete in countries including Russia, Bahrain, and the UAE, where Pakistan even faced India in a landmark international bout.
With his latest IMMAF appointment, Omar Ahmed has become a global ambassador for Pakistan’s martial arts community, bridging local talent with international opportunity. His mission now is to build a self-sustaining MMA ecosystem in Pakistan, turning combat sports into a professional pathway for employment, discipline, and national pride.
