ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the launch of new direct flight routes to Muscat from Islamabad and Lahore, aimed at improving connectivity for the Pakistani community in Oman.
According to the airline, the Lahore–Muscat route will begin on October 29, followed by Islamabad–Muscat flights starting October 30. Both routes will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft.
A PIA spokesperson said the new services are expected to boost revenue and provide greater convenience for passengers traveling between Pakistan and Oman.
In a statement, PIA said it was proud to “reconnect cultures, memories, and loved ones” through the resumption of direct flights linking Islamabad and Muscat.
Meanwhile, PIA is also set to resume its operations to the United Kingdom, with the first Islamabad–Manchester flight scheduled for October 25.
British High Commissioner Jane Marriott welcomed the airline’s return to British skies, describing it as a “historic moment” that will help strengthen bilateral ties and expand opportunities in trade, travel, and tourism.
