Sana Javed warns fans about fake post about Shoaib Malik’s inclusion in the cricket team

Sana Javed, the renowned Pakistani actress, has issued a warning to her fans regarding a verified fake social media profile impersonating her.

The ‘Dunk’ star took to her Instagram stories on Tuesday to alert her followers about a fraudulent Facebook page that had been verified and was spreading misleading information. The page had gained attention for a post discussing the need for her husband, Pakistani all-rounder Shoaib Malik, in the squad for the Asia Cup 2025 final.

“Alert! This is a fake page,” Sana wrote, sharing a screenshot of the profile. “And I am unsure how it was verified.” She further asked her followers not to share any content from the fake account, adding, “I have already reported it and escalated the matter to the concerned authorities. They will be taking appropriate action soon.”

The post that sparked confusion was shared ahead of the Asia Cup final and suggested that Shoaib Malik’s presence in the team would inspire hope and belief in victory.

What made the fake page more convincing was its large following of 1.7 million, compared to the 1.2 million followers on Javed’s official Facebook account.
