The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced the opening of applications for the Private Hajj Scheme 2026, offering 60,000 slots for Pakistani pilgrims. This year, 37,903 new applicants will be accommodated, while 22,097 pilgrims who were unable to perform Hajj last year have been automatically re-registered and given priority.
Private Hajj operators have been instructed to submit affidavits confirming the registration of these priority pilgrims before processing new applications. The total quota is split between fresh and previously registered applicants, ensuring that those who missed out last year are given a chance to join the pilgrimage.
In addition, the Government Hajj Scheme 2026 also attracted 118,060 applications, with the application process closing earlier than usual due to strong public interest. Applicants have already made their first payment, covering 50% of the total cost, with the second installment due by November 1, 2025.
The total cost for the government Hajj package is estimated to range between Rs. 1.15 million and Rs. 1.25 million, depending on the region and duration of stay.
