Prince Harry shared an optimistic update about his father, King Charles III, following their first meeting in over a year. The Duke of Sussex told reporters that his dad is doing “great” after their private tea at Clarence House in London on Wednesday, marking a significant moment in their long-reported family feud.

Harry, who appeared in good spirits, spoke briefly before attending a reception for his Invictus Games. He had just left his private meeting with the King, where the father-son duo chatted for nearly an hour—a marked improvement from their previous 30-minute conversation in February 2024 after the King’s cancer diagnosis.
The Duke of Sussex, who has been estranged from his father and brother, Prince William, since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, has recently made efforts to repair his relationships with the royal family. Harry’s public acknowledgment of the meeting comes amid ongoing discussions about the rift, with his memoir Spare revealing intimate details of his feuds.

Despite the tension, sources suggest that the recent meeting between Harry and Charles represents a step towards reconciliation. “For the first time in a long time, there’s a genuine sense that reconciliation is within reach,” a source told The Mirror ahead of the meeting.
While the wider family issues remain unresolved, the father and son’s interaction in London indicates a hopeful start to repairing their fractured relationship.
