ANKARA: Türkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday condemned the “heinous” terrorist attack in Pakistan’s North Waziristan on Saturday.
In a post in Turkish on social media platform X, he prayed to Allah Almighty to have mercy on our Pakistani brothers who lost their lives in the attack and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

A day earlier, 13 security personnel were martyred when a suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a military convoy,” said the military’s media wing.
“The convoy was attacked in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district,” the ISPR said in a statement.
“In this tragic and barbaric incident, three innocent civilians, including two children and a woman, also got severely injured,” it said.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his condolences to the friendly and brotherly people and the government of Pakistan.
He said Turkiye will continue to support its old friend Pakistan in its fight against terrorism. He further said his country has supported Pakistan on every issue and will continue to stand by Pakistani brothers in difficult times as well as in happy times.
DPM Dar, Turkish counterpart discuss bilateral and multilateral cooperation
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Sunday discussed bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
The DPM/FM spoke with the Turkish FM and they also discussed the recent regional developments and the forthcoming ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) scheduled to be held on 10-11 July in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, a Foreign Office spokesperson said in a press release.
