Man commits suicide after failing to pay phone installments

KOTRI: A man took his own life after being unable to pay the installments for his mobile phone.

The deceased, 30-year-old Yasir Kharl, had purchased the phone from a Karachi-based seller, who allegedly harassed him for missing payments and even involved the police. Yasir, who was married and had two children, became distressed over his financial struggles and ultimately committed suicide.

According to Dr. Barkat Laghari, Medical Superintendent at District Headquarters Hospital, Yasir ingested poison and was brought in for medical treatment. His condition improved temporarily, and he was advised to be transferred to Civil Hospital Hyderabad. However, his family chose to take him home instead. Hours later, they returned, claiming he had stomach pain, but by then Yasir had already passed away.
