Blake Lively Breaks Silence Over Dismissal Of Justin Baldoni’s $400 million Lawsuit

Blake Lively was seen beaming at the Chanel Tribeca Festival Artists Dinner in New York City on Monday night, shortly after a judge dismissed Justin Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit against her. The actress, dressed in a white crochet dress with a vintage denim jacket, posed for photographers in high spirits.

Lively, 37, accessorized with Christian Louboutin heels, a Chanel scarab purse, and elegant jewelry, including a Chanel ring and earrings. Her appearance came just hours after Judge Lewis J. Liman ruled in her favor, dismissing the defamation and libel suits filed by Baldoni, the star of Jane the Virgin, and his production company, Wayfarer Studios.

The court found that Baldoni’s claims were unfounded, noting that Lively’s statements made in her California Civil Rights Department complaint were protected by privilege. Baldoni had accused Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, and publicist Leslie Sloane of making defamatory statements, but the court concluded that there was insufficient evidence to hold them liable for defamation.

In response, Lively’s legal team announced plans to pursue damages and attorneys’ fees against Baldoni for what they described as ā€œabusive litigation.ā€ The actress also addressed the legal victory on her Instagram Story, emphasizing her commitment to defending women’s rights and speaking out against retaliatory lawsuits.

The conflict between Lively and Baldoni started in late 2024 when Lively filed a sexual harassment complaint against him, alleging inappropriate behavior on the set of their film It Ends With Us. Baldoni denied the accusations, later filing a countersuit in January.

Lively’s legal team and supporters have praised the ruling as a win for women’s rights, highlighting the emotional toll of retaliatory legal actions.
