News at the Los Angeles premiere, the 37-year-old actress shared how much Cruise’s support meant to her, especially amid ongoing rumors of a possible romance between the two.
“It makes me really happy and proud,” said de Armas, referring to Cruise’s sweet review of her work. She added, “It’s surreal that someone like him is liking the movie and supporting the film and celebrating other people’s films.”
The Deep Water star also reflected on Cruise’s dedication to the industry, stating, “He supports every movie. He really wants the industry and cinema to do well and [wants] people going to the theaters.” She noted how special it felt that Cruise, a celebrated figure in Hollywood, was backing Ballerina.
