Indian aggression results in 40 civilian martyrs, 51 dead in total

RAWALPINDI: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that 40 Pakistani civilians, including seven women and 15 children, were martyred during unprovoked Indian missile strikes on May 7, 2025. In addition to the civilian casualties, 11 armed forces personnel lost their lives, and 199 others, including 37 women and children, were injured. Pakistan’s response, Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, led to the downing of five Indian warplanes and the destruction of drone swarms. Following intense retaliation, India requested a ceasefire, which Pakistan accepted. In response to the losses, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced compensation packages for both civilians and military personnel, and reconstruction efforts for damaged properties.
