LAHORE: The Film Producers Association Chairman Shehzad Rafique revealed that approximately 2,500 applications were submitted for the Rs2 billion film fund aimed at revitalizing the Pakistani film industry. The fund, which was approved after a request from the Pakistan Film Producers Association, is set to support the production of films and other developments in the sector.
Rafique thanked Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Information and Culture Minister Azma Bukhari, and Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb for their involvement in securing the fund, as well as Culture Secretary Tahir Hamdani for his ongoing support. The initiative is expected to bring significant improvements, including the creation of a film city and enhanced technical facilities.
