Woman’s body found buried in house months after disappearance

KARACHI: Police have discovered the body of a woman, Shamim, who had been missing for several months, buried in her house near the Sukhna Bakhtawar Goth graveyard. The discovery came after a relative, implicated in her death, provided information about the burial location.

Shamim, a 58-year-old divorcee, had been living alone in her house in Malir. The police had registered a missing person case on April 26 after Shamim’s nephew reported her disappearance. Investigations revealed that she had been killed by a relative, motivated by greed for her property, money, and gold jewelry. Authorities confirmed that the motive was likely linked to a desire to take control of her assets. The body was recovered and handed over to her family for burial in her ancestral village.
