Prince Harry’s Comments On King Charles’ Health and ‘Death’ Spark Outrage

Prince Harry’s recent comments about his father King Charles’ health have ignited a storm of criticism. The Duke of Sussex’s remarks in a BBC interview, where he discussed his desire for reconciliation with King Charles and suggested the monarch may not have much time left due to his cancer diagnosis, have been met with intense backlash.

Carole Malone, a columnist for Express UK, penned a scathing opinion piece, calling Harry an “idiot manchild” and accusing him of attempting to manipulate public sentiment. Malone took issue with Harry’s statement that he wanted to reconcile with his father because he “doesn’t know how long [Charles] has left,” adding, “But he won’t speak to me.”

Malone criticized the Duke’s comment, accusing him of being insensitive to the gravity of the situation. “How dare he suggest his father might die before he gets to see him,” she wrote, expressing her disgust at what she perceived as a selfish attempt to make the situation about Harry, rather than his father’s health struggles.

She further questioned Harry’s motivations, arguing that he was using his father’s illness to garner sympathy for himself. “The pain would be all about him and not his father,” she stated, accusing the Duke of exploiting his father’s cancer diagnosis for personal gain.

Malone also pointed out that since King Charles’s diagnosis, there has been no public suggestion from the royal family, Buckingham Palace, or the media that the King’s life was in danger. She emphasized that such discussions were avoided out of respect for the King, suggesting that Harry’s decision to bring up the issue publicly was inappropriate.

The columnist concluded by stressing the respect for King Charles, asserting that while Harry may be seeking public sympathy, the rest of the world understands the importance of maintaining dignity in the face of such personal and sensitive matters.
