Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, is reportedly making efforts to heal the rift within the royal family, particularly in reconnecting with her nephew, Archie, and niece, Lilibet. According to sources, Kate reached out to her brother-in-law, Prince Harry, while he was in the UK for a court hearing regarding his fight for security to bring his family safely to the UK.
A close insider revealed to New Idea that Kate has long been saddened by the fact that her children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—do not know their US-based royal cousins. The source explained, “After everything she’s been through, she feels life is too short for a family feud.”

Despite the ongoing tensions, Kate is determined to unite the family and is reportedly willing to do whatever it takes to bring them together. “Kate won’t give up. She’ll do everything in her power to unite the family,” the insider stated.
Earlier reports also hinted at Kate’s feelings of exclusion when Meghan Markle shared a video of Lilibet with Serena Williams. The Woman’s Day source mentioned that Kate had very little time with Lilibet when the Sussexes visited the Queen, as by then, tensions between William and Harry had already escalated. “Lili’s always been an intriguing mystery for Kate,” the source noted, highlighting Kate’s desire to be closer to her niece, whom she had bonded with when she was a baby.

The situation has only intensified for Kate with recent reminders of her strained relationship with the Sussexes. The insider continued, “Meghan’s video is another reminder for Kate that she’ll never play a part in Lili’s life.” This has left Kate with feelings of exclusion, as she has been unable to have a significant role in the lives of her royal nieces and nephews.
