Pakistan to miss first lunar eclipse of the year on March 14

ISLAMABAD: The first lunar eclipse of the year will take place on March 14, beginning at 8:57 am. However, since it will occur during daylight hours, it will not be visible in Pakistan.

Astronomy experts have confirmed that Pakistan will witness two lunar eclipses in 2025. The second lunar eclipse will be visible in the country on the night of September 7 and 8, along with parts of Europe, Asia, and Africa.

In total, 2025 will witness two solar and two lunar eclipses. The second lunar eclipse will begin at 8:28 pm on September 7 and end at 1:55 am on September 8.

The first solar eclipse of the year will occur on March 29, but it will not be visible in Pakistan. The second solar eclipse is expected between September 21 and 22, which, according to the Meteorological Department, will also not be visible in the country.
