FIA withdraws appeal in Sanam Javed acquittal case

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has retracted its appeal against the duty magistrate’s decision to acquit Sanam Javed.

The appeal was heard by Judge Afzal Majoka of the District and Sessions Court Islamabad.

During the proceedings, FIA Prosecutor Sheikh Amir presented the case, while Sanam Javed expressed gratitude, noting the court’s fair handling of the matter. Judge Majoka emphasized that his decision was based solely on the law, rejecting any claims of favoritism.

With the withdrawal of the appeal, the court has closed the case, affirming the earlier acquittal of Sanam Javed.
