Eight killed in Balochistan lightning, roof collapse incidents: Spokesman

QUETTA: At least eight people were killed and nine others injured in separate incidents of lightning and roof collapse across Balochistan.

A spokesman of provincial government, Shahid Rind said that lightning during heavy rains and roof cave incidents in various districts of the province claimed eight lives besides leaving nine others injured.

He said that 132 houses and link road were damaged in the areas affected of heavy rains and floods.

Efforts were in progress for restoration of communication links in affected districts, he added.

The spokesman further said that surveys were being conducted in the affected districts for assessment of the damages.
