PEC fails to conduct QAT in PEF-partner schools

LAHORE: The Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) has failed to carry out the Quality Assurance Test (QAT) in partner schools affiliated with the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF).

The QAT, supposed to be taken on March 7, 2024, is an annual test to check how well schools under PEF are doing.

A spokesperson for PEF explained that the QAT helps make sure that the schools affiliated with PEF are providing good education. This year, PEF signed an agreement with PEC to handle the QAT for the first time.

The Punjab Examination Commission (PEC), responsible for conducting the QAT, didn’t do it properly. The test had to be cancelled because the test paper got leaked. The PEF officials are now asking PEC for an explanation. PEF is committed to ensuring that schools provide quality education, and they’re working to fix this issue so that future tests can be trusted.
