PESHAWAR: The Awami National Party (ANP) has dropped its leader Shagufta Malik from final list of the electoral candidates for February 8, 2024 general elections.
The ANP taking back party ticket from the former MPA has nominated Nisbatullah as part candidate in the said constituency.
Earlier, the party had nominated Shagufta Malik as its candidate from Khyber Assembly constituency PK-73 after which she started her election campaign but her name was missing in final list of the candidates.
On the other hand, the party sources said that Shagufta herself returned the ticket as she was ANP candidate on National Assembly seats reserved for women.
