The open manholes in Karachi pose a serious threat to the lives of the people. Be it posh localities or suburban areas, the problem is faced by people everywhere. Despite several accidents in the past, the authorities have never paid attention to the problem. People have lost their loved ones, but the municipal authorities have learnt no lesson. Many of these dangerous death traps are still lying open. The relevant department must do its job and cover these death traps.
