Boys grab top positions in SSC annual exams held under Swat BISE

SWAT: Boys outshone their fellow female student in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual examination as the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Saidu Sharif Swat announced results of the annual examination here on Tuesday.

According to controller of examinations Mohammad Ishaq, Jawad Alam of Al-Azhar Education Institute Panr Mingora grabbed first position by securing 1,073 marks, Irfanullah Khan of the same school secured 1,072 marks and was declared second, while Shakirullah of Al-Azhar Education Institute and Adil Munib Ahmed of Cadet colege Swat got third position by securing 1,070 marks each.

In the general group, private candidate from Shangla Ms Salma Shaheen bagged 977 marks and secured first position, Ms Neraz of Government Girls High school Bigra Buner secured second position by obtaining 974 marks while Marhaba Gul of Government Girls High School Barikot grabbed third position with 965 marks.

According to the results, a total of 44,390 male and female students participated in the ninth examination, out of which 39,177 candidates got success and ratio of the result remained 82 percent. Similarly, 21,236 out of 51,156 candidates passed the Class tenth examination on an average only 41%.
