ATC issues arrest warrants of PTI chief in judicial complex attack case

ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court of Islamabad on Thursday issued a bailable arrest warrant of the chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and other party leaders in the judicial complex attack case.

According to details, the ATC along with PTI chief issued bailable arrest warrants for Shibli Faraz, Farrukh Habib, Hassaan Niazi and other leaders and summoned them in person on July 19.

The counsel for the PTI chairman requested the court for exemption from appearance as his client was to appear before the Lahore High Court.

Judge Abul Hasnat stressed that the PTI chairman would have to appear before court.

The judge later adjourned the hearing for July 19 with the directive that all the suspects should appear in person.
