ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has witnessed a widespread suspension of mobile internet services in several major cities of the country, while YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter have been blocked in many regions, creating major difficulties for users.
According to reports, the internet shutdown was initiated by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) following the Ministry of Interior's orders.

A spokesman of PTA told Pakistan Today/Profit that internet service has been suspended on the directions of Interior Ministry and it will be restored after finding directions from the Ministry of Interior.
