New Punjab chief secretary assumes office

LAHORE: In a latest development, Zahid Akhtar Zaman, a senior civil servant, has assumed the role of chief secretary of Punjab.

Mr. Zahid Akhtar Zaman belongs to the 24th Common of Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) and has vast experience in the field of administration. Prior to his posting as the Chief Secretary Punjab, he was serving as Senior Member Board of Revenue.

He previously served as a senior member of the Board of Revenue, additional chief secretary (ACS) for South Punjab, secretary of the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department, and director general of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA).

Abdullah Sumbal, Zaman’s predecessor, has been reassigned to the Establishment Division.
