US Senator lauds facilities offered by Punjab OPC to Overseas Pakistanis

one-window operation

LAHORE: The great-granddaughter of Sir Ganga Ram and a US Senator Kisha Ram has commended the facilities offered by Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission to their countrymen staying abroad due to various reasons.

She was speaking during her visit to Punjab OPC on invitation on Vice Chairperson of the Commission Makhdoom Syed Tariq Mehmoodul Hassan on Monday.

Earlier upon her arrival, the US Senator was welcomed by Commissioner OPC Syed Khadim Abbas, Director Police Matters Imtiaz Ahmed Khan, Director Admin Babar Bashir and other officers.

Kisha Ram along with Commissioner OPC Syed Khadim Abbas visited the facilities provided to Overseas Pakistanis under One Window in Punjab OPC during which she was given a detailed briefing about working and performance of the OPC.

Commissioner informed the US Senator that all possible facilities are being provided to the Overseas Pakistanis community under the One Window Operation. Overseas Pakistanis can file a complaint for immediate resolution of their problems under the online system and can also check the processing of their complaint online.

He said that Vice-Chairperson OPC Makhdoom Syed Tariq Mehmoodul Hassan has also formed an advisory council in foreign countries for the overseas community living abroad and has also appointed a chairman in each district of Punjab province.

Kisha Ram, Sir Ganga Ram’s granddaughter, praised the efficiency of OPC and said that complete relief is being provided to overseas Pakistanis in the Punjab OPC, to solve the problems of overseas Pakistanis under one roof are praiseworthy.

She also credited the one-window operation in OPC under the leadership of Vice-Chairperson OPC Makhdoom Syed Tariq Mahmoodul Hasan. On this occasion, Commissioner OPC Syed Khadim Abbas said that the officers of the Overseas Pakistanis Commission are going to conduct road shows in internal and external countries.
