Ignoring archaeology

It is rather tragic that Archaeology, as a discipline, is not on the list announced by the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) for jobs in the Culture, Tourism, Antiquities and Archives Department. The province has archaeological heritage in plenty, and one primarily needs archaeologists to preserve such sites. It is ironic that, despite the heritage sites, the province has no jobs for relevant graduates and is ignoring the discipline altogether, which is sheer injustice on multiple counts.
