LHC admits PML-N’s appeal against notification of five PTI MPAs

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Saturday admitted an intra-court appeal filed by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) against the notification of the five Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) members of Punjab Assembly (MPAs) on reserved seats.

The two-member LHC bench, comprising Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh and Justice Muzzamil Akhtar Shabbir, will take up the petition for hearing from Monday (tomorrow).

It is to be noted that in compliance with the LHC order, the ECP had issued a notification of five PTI MPAs on July 6, 2022 including three seats reserved for women and two for minorities.
