SC moved to stop PTI leadership from anti-institutions statements

ISLAMABAD: A petition was filed on Tuesday in the Supreme Court against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan and other PTI leaders to restrain them from making statements against the institutions.

The petition filed by Advocate Qausain Faisal requested that Imran Khan and other PTI leaders should be restrained from making statements against state institutions and a judicial commission should be set up to investigate the conspiratorial statements of PTI leaders.

PTI leaders are blaming the judiciary, army and other institutions including the Election Commission and these statements could damage the country’s sovereignty, the plea further stated.
