Covid-19 stream all-time low as Pakistan records only one death

— Pakistan reports only one coronavirus death, 208 infections in a day

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has reported only one death and 208 infections by coronavirus pandemic during the last 24 hours, showed the figures released by the National Institute of Health Pakistan on Saturday morning.

As per the latest NIH data, with the addition of one more death the toll has
gone up to 30,360, whereas the number of total infections now stood at
1,525,181 after adding the fresh 208 cases.

During the last 24 hours (Friday), 29,176 tests were conducted throughout
Pakistan whereas the positivity ratio stood at 0.71 percent. The number of
patients in critical care was 374.

During the last 24 hours (Friday), as many as 72 patients have recovered
from the virus whereas the total recoveries stood at 1,485,996. As of
Saturday, the total count of active cases in the country was recorded at
8,825.

As many as 575,473 coronavirus cases have so far been confirmed in Sindh,
505,087 in Punjab, 219,081 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 135,083 in Islamabad,
35,475 in Balochistan, 43,274 in Azad Kashmir and 11,708 in
Gilgit-Baltistan.

As many as 13,557 individuals have lost their lives to the pandemic in
Punjab so far, 8,097 in Sindh, 6,322 in KP, 1,023 in Islamabad, 792 in Azad
Kashmir, 378 in Balochistan and 191 in Gilgit Baltistan.

National Institute of Health Pakistan made public the coronavirus latest
figures for the first time today after taking control of the operations from
National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).
