Lieutenant General (R) Ishfaq Nadeem passes away

Former Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General (R) Ishfaq Nadeem passed away on Friday, according to media reports.

Funeral of Ishfaq was offered in Rawalpindi. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, senior civil and military officials, and people from all walks of life attended the funeral.

Ishfaq was appointed as Chief of General Staff in November, 2013. Prior to his promotion, Ishfaq had served as Director General Military Operations for two years.
