A case has been registered against journalist Matiullah Jan for abducting 12 armed personnel and commandeering their respective vehicles.
“A case has been registered against journalist Matiullah Jan after today’s incident in front of a college in G-6/2,” said Senior Superintendent Fazl-i-Hameed of the Counter Terrorism Department. “We even have video footage from multiple camera angles recording his brazen crime.”
“Our hearts go out to the brave men who were picked up by Jan and we wish they are safe and sound,” he said. “I assure their families that we are on the case and will recover them as soon as possible.”
“The life of a man in civvies is even worse than a man in uniform,” read defence minister Pervez Khattak, in another press conference. “I would like to take this opportunity to ask Matiullah Jan to turn himself in, wherever he is and the government will show him as much leniency as the law allows.”
