PESHAWAR: A deputy superintendent of police (DSP) was martyred while two constables sustained injuries during an encounter in the Swabi district on Wednesday.
According to police, an encounter took place between police officials and suspected militants. In the exchange of fire, DSP Allama Iqbal lost his life and a suspect was killed.
“The search operation in the area is underway to arrest the other accused,” the police added.
