LAHORE – Writer and director Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar, who has been self-led to believe that he is an undercover meninist working as the ‘biggest feminist in Pakistan’, was lauded among the local and global sexist circles for his admirable consistency in displays of misogyny.

The undisputed leader of meninism in Pakistan, who in recent months has taken up a principled stand against feminism, women’s agency, and #MeToo, was this week seen expressing rare consistency over a matter that has bowled many over.

Where many on the matter have preferred support for fascists over temporarily compromising on misogyny, and others have temporarily sidelined their position on unequivocally believing allegations, Khalil Qamar has showed the world how to take a firm, unflinching stand, which isn’t moved by circumstances.

“It is truly inspiring to see Khalil Qamar show us the righteous path in this difficult moment. So many of us were uncertain, but he showed us how to live out one’s principles – the ones most valued – even in times when it might be easy to not do so,” said Arsh Haal, the chief of the Pakistan Meninist Society (PMS).

Despite some internal disagreements within the meninst movement, the PMS has vowed to ensure that, for them, misogyny supersedes all other ideas and beliefs whenever a conflict arises.
