As the coronavirus pandemic spreads rapidly everyone is playing their role very sincerely and working hard. Like doctors, paramedics, nurses, health care workers, army men and philanthropists, they are getting recognition and tribute at some stage for working day and night. But other than them there are some civil servants who battle it out by staying to serve the public and are never recognized. District administration officials are the front line of response of the government in any usual situation, and they are usually the ones facing the wrath of the general public over government action as well as inaction. Even in the current crisis, many of them have hardly any personal equipment yet continue to travel the areas where there has been an outbreak to manage the infection but they never get any appreciation for anything. We all should be thankful to them for leaving their families at home and putting themselves at risk and are giving their best for us. They are also the real heroes.
